Alright, I have a confession to make. I took a look at this blog as soon as Emily sent the link, but never penned a welcome to everyone. I even started writing something and then aborted because it wasn't witty enough to post to the Internet. (what the hell was I thinking?? It's the Internet)
So now it's a month later, with me being sorely absent here, when Em reminds me about it.
I wanted to make sure I stopped by and said something this time. Now I've got like 200 backlogged entries to go through and read.
WEEKEND UPDATE:
Bought a house in Cincinnati last month. It's a single-story brick ranch, in Cincinnati's northern suburbs. It was built in 1959 and hasn't been touched since... which means it's not old enough to have the character you'd find in a house like Emily's, but too old to be anywhere close to "good."
Working like mad. I'm part owner of a company that was founded just before I graduated from college, The Vandalay Group, Inc. That pretty much just entitles me to work like 70 hour weeks and not get paid overtime. Oh, and I get to fix all of the problems while I'm at it. We're a services company for textbook publishers (we provide them with software, writing, and editing). All of you college kids that are using books published by the likes of South-Western, Delmar Learning, or Heinle might just be reading or using something I've written, edited, or coded.

(Sorry for the length -- but hey! I had a month to make up for)
