I know it's raining right now in Cleveland, but not to worry, the weather is going to be AMAZING this weekend, because I have 2 psychology exams on Monday, back-to-back. So, the weather will be beautiful either A) to spite me as I study inside, or B) to tempt me to not study all weekend. I'll post a picture of the newly revamped room as soon as it's done. Everything needs one more coat of paint, and all the construction equipment needs to be removed. Plus, new CABINETS (! yeah, BABY!) still have to be installed, and you won't really get the FULL EFFECT until that's done. As for the garage guy, his estimate was $24,000-$28,000. Woah. It hurts to even type that amount of money. That was about $8,000-$12,000 higher than the upper limit of our budget. Yikes. And that didn't include ALL the concrete, or the permits, and that assumes things like tying new gutters into our 124 year-old storm drain tile go flawlessly. So, yeah, he's not getting the job. That's ok, lots of people are lining up to give us estimates. (Ok, not lining up exactly, but they do at least answer the phone when we call.) Yesterday, one of my history professors told me that she's been really impressed with my work so far. Also, that she rarely has given an A on the first exam (I got an A) and that she really hopes I'll consider majoring in history! (Yeah, right. And then do what for the rest of my life??) Nothing will shoo away the after-spring-break blues like a compliment from a teacher. She followed this up by telling me to not get a big head, study for the next exam, and try to get the girl who sits next to me to not sleep through the class. Although I'm sure that had NOTHING to do with all that flattery. Er. Yeah. Well. Maybe not. I'm really sleepy this week. Is it the rain, or did we turn the clocks forward and no one told me?
