Ah ha! Emily and I found two of them, and as promised here are the photos.

These are actually cicada nymphs that haven't shed their skins and taken their adult form. I'll post a few more when that happens. Hopefully I can catch one of them in the act of shedding! I haven't gotten the courage up to eat one yet. I'll let you know more on that later.
My yard is full of holes from cicadas emerging from the ground. There are going to be thousands from my yard alone.
