If you were sitting in the chair at my sewing table, and you looked to your left, and then down at the floor, this is what you would see:
Thus, it is very important that whoever sits in this chair remain very still, lest they roll over an unsuspecting dog nose, or ear. This is made more difficult by the floor, which, having nearly reached its 100th birthday, is ornery, in that such tasks as "laying flat" and "being level" are not as high on its priority list as they may once have been. If anyone is here over the weekend, check out the Cleveland Weather Pixie. With any luck, we'll have some nice weather, despite the fact that I'm on vacation, and I'll be able to golf. ...Or maybe at least mow the lawn, which is now riotously displaying clover flowers of 2 varieties.
