It is just so unbelievably hot today that I can't even think about anything else to post. It is that kind of stinking hot and humid where you can sit on the sofa and sweat a puddle around yourself without moving. It's that kind of hot that makes you look outside and wish there was something fun to do, but then you realize you're exhausted just from turning your head and thinking.
I checked the blog to see if it was this hot where everyone else is. To my disappointment, Cleveland was the coolest pixie. I was convinced, though, that this humidity we're experiencing would kick the butt of any few degrees you all had on us. However, Cleveland also has the lowest humidity. So, I feel really bad for all of you. Except those of you with air conditioning. To those with air conditioning, I say: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE INVITE ME TO VISIT YOU! I AM DYING HERE!
Just to round things out, I thought I'd add some images. After my experience with google image search (summer landscape) and seeing Mike's interesting search results, I decided to do an image search for "Emily." I just had to know what google thought of me. Here are the results.
What to say about this? There are no discernible girls in this picture to explain the title "Emily." Is Emily some kind of beetle? Clearly, more research is needed.
This one is more easily explained. This is Hurricane Emily.
Apparently, this doll is named Emily. Clearly, this is because of her snappy fashion sense, and excellent hair.
This thing is pretty awesome. I'm currently trying to convince Darryl that he could jigsaw a replica of this baby out of plywood. Then, I could tastefully paint it (reference here my Microsoft paint skills, and you can imagine the brilliance of the finished product) and we could hang it on our living room wall, over the sofa.
This is one of my favorite finds, just because this girl is named Emily, and her adorable younger brother? His name's Michael.
So, to sum up, although google may not have a good grasp on what a summer landscape is, it's got Emily down cold.
