CAUGHT! Hooray! No more mouse! I was about to break down and get the snap traps and hope the dogs would be safe, but this morning we heard Piper scratching at one of the two traps. Scott started to scold Piper, then he realized he was scratching because the mouse was inside. The live trap with peanut butter worked like a charm. The little mouse was actually a bit cute, I must admit, but I am so glad it's gone. We let him go in a field. He probably won't make it in the wild, but we have a clear conscience. :-)
