Oh my gosh! We definitely don't do anything fancy. Do you want to post more than one picture at once?

Yes, I'm not sure how to put more than one picture in a single post on our blog. I also would love to add a "date photo taken" caption to all photos but it doesn't seem to transfer over from Picasa.

Basically, I'd like to start doing a "Picture of the Day" on our blog and have it formatted nicely.

Well, I tell you the steps I use to post more than one picture. And then, when you find a MUCH better way to do it, let me know! Because it's cumbersome, and I'm certain it's not the easiest way. However, here it is:

Step 1: I write all the text for the blog post in a Word document, and leave spaces for the photos.

Step 2: Send the photos, one at a time, as usual, to blogger.

Step 3: Choose the "edit post" button next to each photo.

Step 4: Choose the "view html" tab from the blog post window.

Step 5: Copy the html code for the photo, and paste into the appropriate spot in the Word document.

Step 6: Instead of choosing "publish" as normal, choose "save as draft" on the photo you just copied.

Step 7: Go back to the list of posts, and delete the single picture you copied.

[repeat steps 3-7 for all photos for a post.]

Step 8: choose "compose" in blogger, to create a new post.

Step 9: Copy and paste the post from Word into Blogger.

Step 10: Publish as normal.

There's my process in ten easy steps! There's probably a way to get the same thing done in 2 steps. Maybe Mike would know. As for the photo date thing, I'm not sure. But I'll fiddle around, and see what I can come up with. It will probably be an overly-long and complicated process, after which explanation, you will say, "I think I'll just type the date on there." ;)

I will be sure to play around with it. Wow ... it is a bit complicated, huh? Now I don't feel as bad for not knowing how to do it!

Either way, I'll have a "Picture of the Day" and journal entry on Andrew's blog now every day I possibly can. Hopefully I can just get it to look a little bit better.
