As If There Was Any Doubt... Recently, when making decisions about how to repair our destroyed bathroom, I was asked if I wanted to keep any of the curtain hardware on the bathroom window. I looked out the window, and could only see sky, and a bit of our neighbor's roof. Because their house is shorter than ours, they'll never be able to see in our window. Also, I really like the view of the sky in the morning. So I told the painter to remove the hardware! And he asked me things like, "ALL of it?" and "Are you certain?" Now it's all gone, and there's nothing to hang a curtain from, even if I did OWN a bathroom curtain. This week, our neighbor is having a roof put on. And apparently, it's a big job, involving things like re-sheeting, and ridge caps or something. And there are men up there. RIGHT ACROSS FROM MY BATHROOM WINDOW. I keep trying to convince myself that it's so bright outside, and it's so dim inside that there's no way they can see inside the house. But I remain unconvinced, and have been forced to once again rely on our basement public-restroom. ARGH. You think I'd learn. Later today, when they're in the right position, I'm going to try to get a picture of it, so you can all enjoy my discomfort. :)
