Emily sent me a link to this article about the Solar Eclipse today. Those of you in Cleveland / Meadeville / Chicago won't have any view of it. But for the NC contingent, maybe those of us in Columbus, and my lonesome self in Cincinnati, we should be able to see something around 6PM tonight. Emily and I are sitting at work getting ready for a brief period of ~5% less sunlight today! I'll post a picture if me, my camera, and the sun happen to be in the same place at the same time. I cut the grass for the first time of the year on Tuesday. One hour and a 30-gallon trash can full of twigs later, I have nothing good to say about Oak trees. Maybe someone can post some good reasons why Oak trees exist. Right now everytime I leave my house I look up and shake my fist meanacingly. "Just one more twig and I swear.... I'm bringing 'em all down"
Comments:
That's so cool! I wish we were able to see it!

Hopefully you'll get some pictures!
Well, the verdict's in. ~5% change in light is virutally undetectable. If you were in Cincinnati looking at the Sun this evening your only comment would have been "Man that's bright".
Speaking of grass ... Scott "forgot" to cut ours before he took off for England, and it was getting so long I knew our neighborhood busybody would begin gossiping about it if I didn't do something. Andrew seemed perfectly fascinated watching me from the stroller for the entire hour, but I was less than amused.

The "Picture of the Day" today on his blog shows just how bad the grass became.
Hahaha! You have grass growing!

We have a few clumps of crabgrass that are getting a little long, but the rest hasn't started growing yet. Once everyone's grass gets growing, I'm going to take some pictures so you can see how awesomely ghetto my neighborhood lawns are. Then you'll feel so good about that grass, long or not!
