Father's Day!

Posted by: emilyseguin

Today, in honor of father's day, I am going to share with you all a story my Dad told me today. Lucky for you, I have edited out the parts about underpants. :) Spot wants to go out in the morning. So, first thing, Dad heads over to the side door, where normally Spot's lead is clipped to the house. Only, when he goes to get the lead, it's only 6 inches long!! It must have broken, so there's just a clip and a 6" piece of dog lead! Hanging there! On the side of the house! So Dad heads outside, finds the other piece of leash, ties them together, and goes back inside to clip it to Spot. He lets Spot out, makes a pot of coffee, does the normal morning routine. Spot had been outside an unusual amount of time, so Dad goes to check on him. He's gone! "I go out there, and, I got no dog! Just a piece of leash! That's all I got left!" Turns out, Spot was on the neighbor's tree lawn, just chilling and watching traffic go by. One funny thing about that dog is this: whenever you catch him doing something he's not supposed to, he growls. I mean, a really mean, threatening growl! So, for example, when you find him on the neighbor's tree lawn, and you say, "Spot! Come in the house!" he trots right for the house, but GROWLS LIKE HE WANTS TO TAKE OFF YOUR HEAD. It's hilarious! His own bit of grumbling teenage resistance, I guess. :)
