Friday = Appletini Adventure Night 

In March, we bought a bunch of duty-free vodka (see photo) and last weekend, Mike bought us a bottle of appletini mix to go with it (also photo) ;) So Darryl and I decided Friday was the perfect night for trying to mix drinks!

The appletini mix says to mix it 1-to-1 with the vodka. So that's easy enough. It's better if you have a little shotglass measuring thing, but I don't. So, 1/4 cup will have to do. Taking a picture of yourself pouring is not as easy as it looks, incidentally.

I also do not have a drink shaker. We had one for our wedding, but it was plastic, and getting old, and we finaly tossed it recently. It will be a while before I convince Darryl to buy another one. Good thing he liked the Appletinis!! Good incentive. ;) So, innovative girl that I am, I poured the mix into a travel coffee mug which also has a nice top that snaps shut. Shake-a-shake-a and then be sure to open the spout before you pour.

The spout worked well, and, as you can see, my pouring-while-taking-photos skill has improved.

Unfortunately, my drinking-while-taking-photos skill has not.
Taking pictures of yourself drinking appletinis gets progressively more difficult. ;) But, the appletinis were so good that I don't even care about this photo. Have a great weekend, everyone!!

How can you tell how long my hair is? It's not even in the picture that I can see....

There's nothing I love more than a photo essay. So easy. Especially if you make a funny face unconsciously, CONSTANTLY.

How many appletini's have you had?! In the picture your hair wraps around your neck, down behind the martini glass, and out of frame!!
