Tuesday, July 19, 2005Here's something weird!
For a long time, I've thought that my house has ghosts, and if you think that's stupid, well.. I don't know what to say. :) Anyway, lots of weird, unexplainable things have happened around my house, and I am so serious about the haunting!
About a year ago, though, I saw this woman on TV (I think on Montel) and she said that you should just tell the ghosts, "You're dead! Go to the light!" and so when weird things happened here, I did that, and then they stopped!
Until yesterday, that is. Yesterday, while wearing a DRESS with NO POCKETS, I kept hearing coins fall to the floor. And whenever I turned around, there they were! Coins! On the floor! I can't tell where they came from. I definitely was not carrying money, and there's not money just laying about my house ordinarily.
I think I've heard about coins falling mysteriously before, and some legend, and I've been searching for it on the internet, but I haven't found anything. Is anyone else familiar with this legend?

Okay ... I normally don't believe in the supernatural ... but you're freaking me out! You hear these things but they normally start with "my friend's sister said" or something to that affect. Or it's from a source that is just a bit kooky to begin with. But coming from you, this is eerie.
They always said my one dorm (which housed my sorority) was haunted. I was on the first floor, but there was a ground floor below it. Since it was the mountains, there was a retaining wall next to the dorm and pathway. So right out my window, these OLD graves (1700's to about mid 1900's) were at eye level, and the path students walked on was below. Anyway, the elevators would run by themselves randomly. My television and radio would turn on and off, and sometimes switch channels - on its own. My room was also right outside one of the bathrooms. Well, the stupid water would turn itself on all the time in the middle of the night. It drove me crazy! Finally one night I marched in there and said "Y'all stop it! I'm trying to sleep" and to heck if it didn't stop. BUT I always figured there was a rational explanation for all these things in the end.
I guess it would help if I included the link: http://paranormal.about.com/cs/othermiracles/a/aa012604_2.htm
Hey, thanks for that link! I don't know what the money around my house might be about... I can't think of anything like those people did. I'm going to have to work on it. ;)
I've never believed in ghosts or hauntings REALLY, until we moved here. Just too many unexplainable things have happened to me.
I'm not very good with change.
Sometimes I fall asleep and all the change falls out of my pockets. One time I got into the shower after taking a nap and I had dimes and nickles stuck all over me. Maybe that's what happened to you? :)
That definitely occurred to me! Especially the first time, because I had been sitting on the sofa, and it's possible Darryl had lost change that morning on the couch.
But after that, I looked all over, and no change was stuck to me. And still, hours later, I kept hearing and finding change. (I should mention that in the interim, I had not returned to sit anywhere that Darryl does, so, no chance, really, of having change reapplied.) I guess anything's possible, though. I'll just have to keep my eyes open for a while, and see if it continues.
I was hoping that the ghosts would stop dropping chump change and ratchet up to ten and twenty dollar bills.
