Wish me some luck, all you cousins!

Tomorrow is my first big teaching evaluation. My lesson is on the enduring impacts of the Mauryan Empire and the Gupta Dynasty of ancient India. Doesn't that sound fascinating? Yeah. I hope I can fool sixty 7th-graders.

Good luck with the Mauryans! I mean ... the seventh graders...
I don't know about smart - I read it in their textbook, too, just a few days before they did! ;)

The lesson went really well, we watched a movie about how Elephants were used as tanks, so... it wasn't ALL boring.

Unfortunately, my evaluating professor didn't make it!! Stress!! She said she might stop in after Thanksgiving. I guess I'm planning another unit. :(
I'm sure your evaluation went great! You know my best friend is a middle school teacher in Charlotte, don't you? She taught 7th grade history until she moved to 8th grade history last year. Whenever I'm confused about empires or something in the middle east I give her a call. :-)
