Appalachian State 

Great video post Em. I died laughing when the turtle came flying back on stage after he kicked it... CLASSIC. Did you guys see this video on VH1's Web Junk 2.0? (It's an iFILM not Google Video, but hopefully it works as well as Emily's) I told Mom about it and she said that they emphasized "hot hot hot" because it's so damn cold in the mountains. What do you think Karen? Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Although I cannot understand WHY this is so LONG, there are a few points I love, and feel the need to recap.

* Appalachian is proud as a peacock. [cut to ACTUAL PICTURE OF A PEACOCK.]

* Appalachian is diverse. [insert clip of soul singer, while SIMULTANEOUSLY showing the only black man in the video, who happens to be in cap and gown.]

* Growing and living. [show clip of senior citizens. Yep! STILL LIVING.]

* No, seriously, we're HOT. See our "flame" font?

* Building our hopes on a great tradition. [cut to scene of old white men.]

* Even when the weather is cold cold cold [WAIT!! How did THAT get in there?! We're HOT!!! HOT ONLY!!! Eh... it's probably ok. Who's watching this far in anyway?]

Ugh! I am humiliated! This thing is wrong on so many levels. And it actually made it on to VH1's Web Junk? Oh no! I wonder what the commentator there saw.

Emily - I noticed a lot of the same points. Especially the soul singer. I believe when I graduated, the school's own official statistic was something like 98.7% white.

Was this some student's project? I hope? Please tell me they didn't use this thing as recruiting material.
