Hey Y'all!

Wow, Emily's house looks AMAZING! She is so professional on that video. I would sound like a moron. I can't stand watching video of myself. It makes me realize I have a stupid giggle all the time. I'm in high stress mode. We've signed a two year lease with tenents we're really excited about, so it looks like that will work out great! I have to go to the credit union this morning and set up the escrow account for the deposit this morning. We close on the new house July 10th and are locked into a mortgage. Only problem is we discovered Sony Ericsson failed to pay one of Scott's cell phone bills, and it went on his credit. Sony Ericsson sent a letter to try to get it off his credit last month, but it hasn't gone through. So, we're going to have to pay an extra $560! But, I told Scott to email the company this morning and see if they would reimburse us since it was their error. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because the company has been really good to us. Our renters move in July 15th, so we'll be in crunch mode with moving and getting the house professionally cleaned before they move in. Plus since they're wrapping up the new house I'm finding all the little detail problems, and having to deal with that a lot. Luckily, our builder has been wonderful. They're the small town, Wake Forest builder who has been in business over 35 years, so that's been really helpful. This weekend was Scott's family's golf tournament at Duke, so I was running back and forth like crazy. We were so exhausted Friday night we decided to get a room at the Washington Duke at the last minute, and I must admit it was pretty sweet. So we had the family reunion, in-laws in town, and our friends were visiting from Chicago. Now I should have had a bunch of pictures from the event and I made sure to bring the camera. However, I forgot the memory stick. Oops. No pics. Yesterday we took Andrew to Hill Ridge Farms so he could see the animals and ride the train. Andrew is absolutely psycho for trains. You know how most kids sleep with a teddy bear? Not Andrew. Andrew has to sleep with a train. Thomas and Friends. It's the worst show ever. I just cringe when watching it. I can go into further explanation if anyone is interested (somehow I doubt it). Lots of fun but I'm just exhaused and stressed beyond belief. This morning I have to go to the dentist. Um, somehow ten years ago I developed this acute terror of dentists for no real explanation. So needless to day, I REALLY need to go and my teeth are beginning to hurt. I'm going to a friend ... we've been friends since the age of 14, so I'm hoping that will help me get through the experience without vomiting. Okay, enough with my very long winded post. My mom is heading up to Cleveland Wednesday for Aunt Joyce's 50th birthday, and to see grandma. I guess they pushed back her surgery to July 10th. Hope all is well with everyone! I'm jealous of the school bus tailgate to the Dave Matthews concert. How I wish I could still do that stuff...

Well, thanks for saying I don't sound like a goober, I think I do!

Did you put your rental house in the name of a corporation? For like $500 you can have an attorney draw up an LLC that you can put your deed in; then if your tenent freaks out and sues you for any reason, they can't touch your new house. Did you know that already?

That sucks about the phone bill! That is so unbelievable!! They should definitely pay to take care of that problem.

Only 5 days between your closing and your tenents moving in! That would stress me out so much!! I don't know how you're doing it - but that is really efficient planning!

Don't feel too bad about forgetting camera batteries to the reunion. Darryl and I forgot to pack our camera on our HONEYMOON! We had to buy the world's most expensive disposable when we were there. :)

I remember Thomas - some kids I used to babysit watched that. I guess it's been on a while! It truly is ANNOYING. I can't imagine 24-7 exposure - babysitting around it was bad enough.

Thanks for the update! Glad everything seems to be going well!!
