Our new tenant moves in in
10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 days. Here's what we have left to do:
* Repair and texture the plaster in the back hall.
* Paint the back hall and the second floor's access to the basement.

Finish the front porch railings.
*
Install smoke detectors.
* Paint the front porch railings.
* Have carpet installed in the living room and bedrooms.
*
Finish painting the folding doors and install them between the living room and front bedroom.
* Install
and paint the back bedroom door.
*
Put down subfloor and tile in the kitchen and bathroom.
*
Install the toilet in the bathroom.
*
Install the vanity and sink and faucet in the bathroom.
*
Install the medicine cabinet in the bathroom.
*
Put in bathroom lights, finishing pieces of exhaust fan, and switches/switchplate.
* Buy and put in the refrigerator and stove.
*
Install blinds in the kitchen.
*
Finish the small amount of mudding and taping in the kitchen built-in, and sand, prime and paint, then install shelf paper.
*
Put tile in the bedroom closets.
*
Install chair railing in the bathroom.
*
Paint the bathroom.
* Power wash and paint the second floor access stairs and doors and the foundation for the rest of the house.
*
Clean up the yard.
* Get an electrical inspection,
and two occupancy inspections.
* Change furnace filters.
* Put in wash tub drain for the downstairs utility sinks (which now currently just dump water on the floor.)
I am alternately worried about the amount of work, and exhausted by it. The good thing is - one way or another, it will be over in 10 days. And the other good thing is - I have not given a thought to my state exam scores! (What state exam scores??)
