Oh My Goodness. 

You all, I have to tell you that the last 3 weeks have FLOWN by. Every day I come home, and I think, "Oooo, I have such a good idea to post about on the blog!" but then I grade papers, create worksheets, read and read and read, and THEN, when all that is done, I just sleep and sleep. Tonight I have a little extra time because I have meetings all day tomorrow, and I left all my worksheets, etc. for the substitute tonight before I left (HOORAY!). Student teaching has been SO MUCH FUN. I want to write about all the crazy things that happen every day (like kids locked in lockers) but I'm so nervous about confidentiality agreements and such. Anyway, maybe once the semester is over, I'll type up some highlights. There's probably one general thing I CAN share that is sort of a downside of being in middle school, and that is that the kids SMELL. I mean, they REALLY smell. Some days I am so tempted to go to Drug Mart or someplace and buy a ton of those sample-size deodorants to pass out. Oh, well - every job has a downside, right? Overall, even though it's an almost overwhelming amount of work, it is really fun, and I look forward to going every day, which is about as much as one can ask from a job, don't you think?
