Yeah, here's the thing: I have nothing to say. Do you?

Let me tell you about a few things that happened this week: I broke the electric hole puncher in the office, and got yelled at by the secretary. My mentor teacher made me an award certificate for being a good student teacher, and left me a warm fuzzy note and a Tootsie Pop. Isn't that nice? So many kids signed up for my "Social Studies Study Group" that I have essentially created for myself another 40 minutes of social studies to plan for every day. Plusses and minuses. Instead of starting off social studies with a "The bell rang, you should be in your seats" warning, I stand in front of the room and shout, "Do you know what that bell means? It's time foooor...." and the kids scream "Social studies!!" It's pretty fun, and they still get in their seats. Only now, it's complete with drum rolls on the desks, etc. So, maybe it's getting them a little too wound up. The student teachers got to officially meet our principal this week. She's been off to a rough start this year. Anyway, she was so nice - she gave us a bunch of stuff - pins, post-its, paper, pens, etc. She said, "I know that adults get excited about this kind of stuff, so please remember that and PUT A STICKER ON THE KIDS PAPERS, OK?" Hahaha There was a fight this week, and if you think that kids can't stop talking about that kind of thing in the cafeteria, you should hear the teachers in the lunchroom. ;)
