Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes...

Hey everybody! Recently, I received a request to make our blog more private. (Or maybe not so RECENTLY, but recent is a relative term. ;) ) This makes a lot of sense to me, and although I don't have the same reasons for considering a little more privacy a good thing, I think it really would benefit us all. After all, what each one of us writes here is intended for the eyes of our cousins, parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. Maybe not necessarily employers, people we knew in high school, or anyone else who might google us. To that end, I've been looking through lots and lots and lots of blog provider websites, trying to find one that would offer privacy, but still allow multiple posters, picture uploads, video uploads, comment hosting, etc. Essentially all the features we have here, including our low low cost of $0. This was not an easy thing to find! Several times I thought I had found an ideal service only to sign up and discover that one piece was missing. Today, however, I am successful! I took a "tour" over at WordPress (see it for yourself) and I truly think this is a great solution. It offers everything we have here at Blogger, PLUS it seems MUCH more user friendly, adaptable, private, etc. Really, if you take a look at that features page I linked to, I think you'll be impressed, too. It even gives us the option of importing all our blogger posts AND COMMENTS to this new blog. I tentatively set up a rough new page at haboustak.wordpress.com so you can get a rough idea of what it might look like. Really, it has so many more template and design options and simple simple upgrades that we all would be able to update and change it as anyone sees fit. I'd like to know what you all think though. This would mean setting up new accounts at wordpress for each of us, and learning a new blog posting system (although this new one does seem more intuitive). That's kind of a pain, and while it may seem worthwhile to me, maybe you all would think it is more trouble than benefit. Please give me some input. Thanks!!
